Re: Selection Criteria
I was told many years ago that "A Man who thinks he knows everything, learns nothing" something I have always tried to live by. Being part of a strong and very social pigeon club once again, I've had numerous conversations with some very good fliers, one of the topics was on selection. We...

Re: what do you look for?
Pigeon men have a funny way of "adapting" (for want of a better word) We have far fewer members now than say in the 1980's but far more Clubs! It'd be fascinating to wind the clock forward 50 years and see what the sport looks like then All you need to start a new club is two members and ...

Or better still, tell Devo that Muzza said he is to get his arse back on here, because we need his input.

Re: Selection Criteria
It's a bit different where I live. When we first moved to Bendigo I was immediately drawn to racing pigeons flying not very far away. I soon found the loft and was warmly welcomed. The bloke was to become a good friend. Sadly he no longer has pigeons. He showed me his pigeons, and I recall being giv...

Re: Pedigrees
Gee, I wish I was younger and had better health and still had a loft in a place that I could race to. Today I had a call from my good mate David in Bendigo. He said that every time he goes in the loft he sees a youngster that sticks out. He keeps looking at the youngster to check what it is. It's on...

Re: George Harrison Pigeons
Mmm, yes they were. But I don't know what happened. I guess they became very inbred and the start of the importation of good modern pigeons from Europe made them redundant. I know that many of them had become very fine and racey in appearance, and they tended to be wild in the loft. Compare ...
