Re: Life in St Arnaud
It turned out quite nice today, so I took the young birds, plus two younger ones that have really come along well, out for a decent fly after lunch. There was a side wind, but they dropped on the board together at 1150 yards per minute. I was quite happy with that. Well done Muzza, good to see that...

Re: Bicc Pau
When you try to go into it in depth, it won't work, you either send Y/L or you don't. When flying south road the prevailing wind is S/W, and I don't believe that all these men that are preparing thier yearlings for these races are looking that far into the future. Any race flown in a nose wind can ...

Re: RIP Diogo Jota
Yes very sad indeed, tragic for their poor family.
Sadly it does sound like he was driving at a ridiculous speed and had a tyre blow.

Re: Littlehampton RPC
I had 2 yearlings return this week from the bad Hexham race, one couldn't stand properly as he had some kind of twine around his feet, much longer and he'd have started to lose toes, and possibly even the whole foot on one leg. He's fine now, the other was very light but after a couple of days has f...

Re: Bicc Pau
I have to say that, in my opinion and from my experience, that you might well get yearlings from those kind of distances but they seldom, if ever do it again. If you want longevity in your team, I think you need to let the birds develop and grow properly which can take two to three years. Just my op...

Re: Different ways of training.
A good little video, thanks Devo. I have to say mine will be trapping like that when I first start training them, being on an open loft it usually takes a few races before they get the idea lol   Its interesting to see that he has water on the trap for them, my birds primarily look for wat...
