My first birds from both our longest races so far are both Jelle Jellema's, both came into me as stray youngsters, I know one of those comes from Mark Gilbert stock.

Re: The long wait.
Some very good birds, well done to them and the fanciers.
In my opinion the best of the UK birds is the one for Clive and Jill Roger's, to get that bird when they did right over in the West with the wind we had yesterday is a fantastic achievement.

Re: Littlehampton RPC
This week for our penultimate old bird race we were at Ilkston, 152miles to me. Due to the poor forecast we basketed on Thursday for a Friday race. Well again the less said about this race the better, I sent 8, dropped two including my good yearling cock who was 4th club from Wetherby and 1st Club f...

Re: Littlehampton RPC
Sorry for the slow updates on my racing, my life is in a bit of a transition at the moment. Our youngest brother and his family have recently moved away to Wales, I have been working for/with Kev for the past 10 years or so. I'm now having to go it alone which is taking some adjusting to, I didn't w...

Re: Life in St Arnaud
Ah, my 9. There's 10 but yesterday morning I had one come back in the loft after 15 minutes. I noted it but didn't think much of it. Put them out again in the afternoon, I'm not sure how long it flew but I found it back in the loft. That made me look. It's dropped both it's 10th flights and the new...

Re: Life in St Arnaud
Excellent, well done Muzza, that's a great start. It is a shame that there aren't more birds on the sheet, I hope more have made it home. As you say hawks are a real problem everywhere, but we can't always blame it all on them. One of our favourite places is the New forest, we have our holidays ther...

Re: Bicc Pau
Thanks gents, I have now been able to see some decent weather forecasts for the Friday and Saturday and if it had been kinder, I might have sent a couple of yearlings but with a good deal of East in the wind I have decided to keep them at home. I will still have a couple of 2yo going so will still ...

Re: My bad
Love it   Glad all worked out in the end Muzza. As you are probably aware Darren May is a member of our Club, although since we went North Road he hasn't sent with us, he races with the Southcoast Federation and the Classics. A lot of the members down here, including our very own Alan Stil...

Re: Life in St Arnaud
It turned out quite nice today, so I took the young birds, plus two younger ones that have really come along well, out for a decent fly after lunch. There was a side wind, but they dropped on the board together at 1150 yards per minute. I was quite happy with that. Well done Muzza, good to see that...
