Re: Hawks / peregrine lost birds
Andy I think the Combine race program isn't good 4 times @ Chale with the peregrines on the island what chance have we got. With the lack of distance going E to W it's not a good program in my mind but with a falling membership year on year because of a range of issue's etc age, health, BOP it's not...

Re: Hawks / peregrine lost birds
I agree with your point NeilA that all liberation site needs to be checked for everything before agreeing it's use. It will only turn out to be a mobile feeding station for the peregrines, so in my area I have Weymouth, Yeovil, Wincanton, Bath, Mangotfield Frome all these have local population of p...

Re: Today's Weather
Although we only had a shower while out in Wells and the Cheddar Gorge there was a lot of water on the roads back nearer to home. So there must have been some very heavy showers while we were out.

Re: Recovery from racing
Thanks Neil. As I haven’t raced widowhood for some years I was basing my method on what I used to do. Then I would feed depurative early week keeping it tight. The birds would exercise lightly. I would then introduce the widowhood mix Wednesday afternoon letting them have as much as they wanted. The...

Re: Recovery from racing
As far as the subject of this topic is concerned I’m not sure that any sort of rest is needed. As I have said before I was a competitive swimmer and waterpolo player. After an event or game we would have a ‘swim down’. This would be a gentle swim of a couple of hundred meters to git rid of any lacti...
