Re: Loft Flying or Training for Young birds

Would you say that darkness ybs don't go off ranging compared to natural ybs.
Do you think they should be trained at say from 9 week of age or when they have still got yellow down still on there heads, better to have them thinking early & up flying.
Would you agree that ybs bred in December don't ...

Re: I pick up my pigeons tomorrow

Think I've asked this before sorry,

how much am I feeding these Y/Bs morning and night or just one feed "Thanks"

Feed morning and night. If you have the time sit in with them while they feed. Some will very soon start taking food from your hand. When they start going to the drinkers stop ...

Re: B12 orally or injectable we have divided opinions

@andy so I would agree on infection but we control that risk, but the benefits out weight the cons imo mate, do you get a lull in your birds after vaccination for 3 days they off? Try using it first time when you vaccinate and see the difference! 👌 Then try using it on just 2 birds from your team ...

Re: B12 orally or injectable we have divided opinions

@tintin Monday Tuesday every week 0.2ml yb team, we give alongside vaccines and we give to breeders twice weekly, and we give it 3 days a week during moult

Sounds rather excessive to me but as you know I don’t treat for anything. The only jab that mine ever get is the PMV one.
Every time you ...

Re: I pick up my pigeons tomorrow

That’s great Tony.
Just put them into the loft and let them settle, they’ll be fine.

Thanks Andy, would you put anything on the floor or not mate

I wouldn’t worry about any bedding. Just scrape them out twice a day before you feed them and as Danny says keep the time consistent and call ...

Re: Flight Force

I’m just feeding an all round mix along with some super widowhood that I have left from the old bird season.
But as I’ve previously said I’m not that interested in young bird racing. Can’t really be in my club. Our first 4 races are all from 34 miles it’s not until the 7th race that we go over 100 ...
