Thanks for the replies lads we are trying to be as cautious as possible due to having only 8 old birds left ive seen some fanciers this week just gone send 80 an only get 24 back I have 43 I could send but if it goes as bad as some people have had it I could end up with 5 back we started last year ...

Seen horror stories of people sending their full teams to the first YB race and losing nearly the lot stuck in a pickle if to send half or send full team unsure how many races ill get out of them because they werent on darkness any thoughts would be appreciated lads

Can i ask what was the outcome Mark, did you send to first race. Or was more training needed?
Didnt send mate only 3 members in our club sent and only around 350 birds in the fed when usually there's probably 1400-1600 so i think alot arent ready im happy to give them another week especially ...

Afternoon lads so this year is mine and my dads first year racing young birds this old bird season we raced unraced yearlings and it was more of a time pass more then anything was just always off the pace by around 10-15 minutes but kept us occupied atleast this year we have been training away ...
