After a hard race today, although very fast over the East of the country, and disappointing for me at present returns wise, the provisional results for our members are.

Les 49th section CS and 91st open. 1482ypm

Phil 2nd section WS and 114th open. 1306ypm

Andy 7th section WS and 143rd open. 886ypm

Obviously there will be other birds in front, especially in the open results as only the first bird has to be verified. For example Phil will almost certainly stay 2nd section but he has 3 more before my first. He will probably have 4 in the first 6 West Section.

The winner of the oldbird race was in Dover doing 2091ypm
The winner of the youngbird race is in Brighton doing 1994ypm

Well done to our members Les and Phil.

Ps. On the plus side I think I may win the £25 for the first BICC rung youngster in the West Section.
Also well done to Grizzlecock who bred both mine and Les’s first birds

I got another one of Grizzlecock’s just before going up to the club. So I have still only got 4/24

Number 9 back. One of Black's. Next second another through the sputnik..woohoo..oh wait a minute, not mine. Belongs at 114 Pike Road Efford Plymouth, which is 1/2 mile from where i lived until i went into the RAF! Crazy world we live in.

She is in great shape, just been dragged into Kent and the beyond. Give her few days and then i shall let her go. Time for lunch, tc all.

Good to see they are still working back mate.
It certainly is a small world that bird coming from so close to where you used to live. I imagine there are a fair few more west country birds down that way too, I would never be surprised if there are also a good few on the continent. There was a youngster pecking around in the corn field where I was picking up bales today couldn't get near it though.
Hope she makes it back home safely.
