A hard race again after a 2 day hold over. Very few birds back yesterday.

I was in the loft this evening when I had a pigeon arrive at 6.09pm. It was the yearling hen from Pete that was bred for Murray. She was having only her second ever race. She is tired and has worked hard but will be fine. She will now have until next year to recover as she won’t be raced anymore this season.

Although a bit late I decided to still clock and verify her. I felt that she had done all she could to get home, and still in race time, so deserves the recognition especially in a hard race.

She was duplicated into both the CSCFC & BBC.

Provisionally she is 19th section 96th Open BBC & 21st section 88th Open CSCFC.

Great result for both Murray and of course Pete.

Wow!

Great result from a top little pigeon. That hen now has a result to her name that no one can take away. And on a very hard day, too.

Once again, huge thanks to Pete for putting her in the loft for me, and to Andy for all the care and work.

I love being involved, even from afar.

I am good! They aren't firing rubber bullets at me. Yet.

Well done Andy and that bird, glad you did time her in after all the work and effort from her, no matter whether top or bottom she did it mate

Well done Pete and Murray as well

Sadie's Loft's, home of great birds, just a poor loft manager

Thanks all.

I don’t mind being bottom of the sheet, someone has to be. The pigeon flew the race in race time and deserved recognition. There are a lot more pigeons not home.

Exactly. She is on the sheet on a day when lots and lots aren't.

You have done a great job with those pigeons, Andy.

That was only the hen's second race, and she scores a place on the result from Berwick after a holdover, and a tough day.

Gentlemen, take your hats off to Andy.

In jest, a couple of times I have referred to the pigeon as 'Pete's Muzzabelle'.

Bred by Petedave, as an entry for 'Muzza', and she is a girl. Hence she is Pete's Muzzabelle.

With your approval, Andy, after this race that is her name.

I think she has earned it!

I had a 4 year old hen back from this race this morning. Her feet would suggest that she has been resting on a farm somewhere. She has flown the channel 3 times before but this was her first race this year having returned 6 weeks late from the bad trainer with a gash down her side.
