good luck lets have a good race
Good luck mate
ATB Andy.
Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.
Good team of birds for the race.
Most are yearlings, so they should do well at the distance, and improve with the race.
Looking forward to it.
Regards
Murray.
If there are one or two not home after this, let's remember it always happens in the the first couple of races.
The team will continue to improve with racing.

All of the hens have flown the channel, but for 7 of the cocks this will be their first race. I’m happy with the condition their all in though.
Another little thought. You often hear of birds coming home really thirsty and thoughts that they haven’t had a drink in the basket. I think one of the advantages of the racing I do is the time they spend in the basket. Our birds have already been in the basket for over 24 hours and probably going to be another 24 hours before liberation, if we don’t get a holdover. Our birds would already have taken on water, and probably been fed by now, so will continue to drink in the baskets. Their not stupid, if they hadn’t found water by now they would be in a bad way. Where as birds marked on a Friday evening and released on a Saturday morning are more likely to miss having a drink before liberation.
A lot of sense in what you say.
I hope they go really well Andy. You have put a lot of effort into them.
Regards
Murray.
hi Andy did the grizzle have a race last year
hi Andy did the grizzle have a race last year
Yes she did George. This is her 5th time over the channel.
Flew Messac 225mls & Le Mans 240mls in 2018 and Messac 225mls and Fougeres 196mls last year. So this is her shortest outing lol.
that's fine Andy could not remember if she raced last year
Anyone up for a quid a bird. If you have more than one bird either nominate or back them all. First bird back scoops pot? We can do it on each race if anyone game?
Not so retired racer, part time webmaster and part time distiller
Or nominate only if people think better?

Best of luck mate!

I think you are right there Andy, the birds have plenty of time to settle in the baskets and should all have managed to find the water. What I do find strange is that at our club we always put water on the baskets while we are waiting for the transporter to turn up and every week it amazes me how many birds are already desperate for a drink.
Good luck tomorrow bruv, I hope it's a good race and that the team come well for you.
