I had the front open on the young bird loft today for the 2 youngsters I have from John & Bens stock birds. They both had a good look out but didn’t go any further. It’s a start though. They are 6 weeks old now. I have another one to wean tomorrow.

Just the 2 weaned and 1 due to be weaned. These were from the stock birds I have from John & Ben.

They look well, Andy.

Shows how far we are out of sync. My early young birds are 6 months old, have had some tosses, and are getting very moulty as the days draw in.

Regards

Murray.

I thought I may have lost them today. I opened them up again this morning but when I went and checked on them there was no sign of them. I kept on checking but couldn’t see them anywhere, not even sitting on any of the roof tops.

When I looked early afternoon I found them:

😂😂 Not sure whether they ever went anywhere apart from up into the roof space. I let the old birds out at around 4pm and when I finished work and went up to the loft they were both in their section. So even if they didn’t go anywhere at least they have been out of the loft and found their own way back in.

Too me they seem smarter ,as they are in a safer position , the other reason is they are looking for fresher air ,
