I decided to make a couple of alterations in the loft today. I find that as the old birds are on natural that the birds not on the nest like to get away from their box. I’ve been having birds sitting on the feeders or on the floor so decided I needed to put some box perches in there.

I’ve also got youngsters pairing up in the other section of the main loft. So I decided to take out a set of 10 box perches from this section and put them in the old bird section and replace them with some nest boxes.

This will also give me the option of having a few stock birds in this section if required.

This is the young bird section.

As you can see they didn’t like the change LOL.

The old bird section before and after.

Great work Mate , The loft we are racing out of ,I built 30 years ago & transported it to our new location about 700 miles north of old location ,at the time it was ok ,but over the passed 28 years iv’e had to make improvements to it ,re airflow , draft ,temp ,light or sun improvements ,& most of all there inviroment ,all need improving for present location ,so lofts can be improved & upgraded ,just keep a consent eye on your birds ,they will tell some thing is wrong or right with the loft ,cheers {blue}:gape:
