Welcome to the site, ask any questions you have and remember no question is a silly one and more than one answer can be right as all roads lead to Rome as they say

You will find they are a great bunch on here and will help as much as they can

Welcome...1st lesson...Good Well vented loft!!

2nd

Buy pigeons from a well known/pigeon flyer who wins out of turn,Who only has a Small team, and Not a mob flyer.albeit sprint or distance...don’t choose birds by that Used to be all the rage Years Ago!!! Also Don’t overcrowd!!

3rd

Keep to a Routine,feed/clean out, etc, feed a Good mixture one that you can afford, and keep them on it.

Thats my view, maybe other members do things differently, but I had a good mentor, who won out of turn,Distance and Sprint, flying against 40 odd members/and countless 1st Fed positions.I did ok 2 thanks to him🙂

Got to Go

Good Luck😉

You can buy The Mans Winning pigeons BUT not the Man that flys them!!

I can't agree more!

First, a good loft. Keeping expensive pigeons in a loft that has ventilation problems and is cold and damp, is pointless.

Having got that right, get some pigeons. I suggest starting with young birds from a successful local flyer. Often, stock birds are being disposed of because they haven't produced much. Avoid them.

 Then, yes, routine, routine, routine.

Get those things in order, you are more than halfway there!
