That's a pretty decent result for the first trainer, another 300+ lost isn't so great though. Well done the birds and to you both.

Well done, good to hear that you have still got them both there. As Trev says though, how can they lose 300+ from 16 miles. I wonder how long they took and how split they were.

Andy they were clocking in on the 34 mins mark, that will improve with more trainers mate. I would hope, lol.

I just wondered how far adrift they went before homing to have lost so many.

I think CBDL is going to put some data up about the training today mate, he is good with that.

Will be interesting to see that mate, whatever your two did well and have shown some promise, hope they continue to do so.

Alright lads. Sorry been a bit busy.

Ok so we are obv two left and 258th and 376th in the trainer. These two were:

34 mins 59 secs and 60 milliseconds
And
35 mins 23 secs and 85 milliseconds

The winner was a Saudi pigeon:
31 mins 20 second and 80 milliseconds

The main bunch started in from the second at:
32 mins 57seconds 91 milliseconds

Bit weird one as, Now all combined, latest loft list shows 4674... race result 4274 back... 4552 basketed and 206 held back. So if that's right losses not so bad

Thanks Chris, not bad times for a first trainer and your two were obviously with the leading bunch. That's still nearly 300 birds lost though, not good in my book.
Look forward to the next update.

True. Suppose I was looking at it as 100. 4552 basketed. 206 kept back and 4674 there now. I presumed the others found there way back later. Will have to check whether loft list was done pre or post race. Was put up post but no guarentee

Great that the two are back after their first hurdle. Better things to come, good luck you two.
