I think we are going to be to late, to send birds that will be able to cope with the demands of this O L R, if i was sending myself i would be looking at using youngsters bred in march. Just my thoughts.

I agree dev wait till next year when most of us could breed our own birds ready for about march

I think you're right Dev. Looks very difficult even for the older youngsters. Looking at the final race from last year, which was in this weeks homing world, only 12 birds out of 316 made it home on the day from the final race, 240 mls. The first was 4 hrs 28 mins, the second was over an hour later and the last one on the day was was over 8 and a half hours.

I agree, I think it's worth watching some of this year's OLRs and plan ahead for next year. Get a syndicate organised well in advance rather than rush it and just throw good birds away.

I think its a good call to plan for next year, in a sport we love, We dont want to set our birds up to fail. If we prepare well we could have a good team to send, i know its a bit of a let down but i would rather have older birds going to deal with the demands.

Yes your right dev my birds have been there since first intake they will be strong by now well settled first training tosses start in couple of weeks I won't win it but I'd love to get one of the hot spots
